The Wytheville Training School Cultural Center will be celebrating Juneteenth (Freedom Day) on June 19, 2023, starting at 1:30 p.m. Come, See and Hear the Re-enactment of Major General Granger’s reading of Order No. 3 (Order of Freedom), Facts about Juneteenth, a sampling of Freedom Day Foods symbolic of the cause … the sacrifice and blood shed of those enslaved. A sampling of other celebratory foods will be available as well. This event is funded in part by the Wythe-Bland Foundation. Come and Celebrate Freedom Day! All programs held at the Training Center including entrance into the museum are FREE.
